In this method, I will share a way to mute your friends from your News Feed. You will not see any of your friend post, comment or any like to any post. Your friend post will be complete disappeared from your News Feed. The best part of this method is you can even mute a Page or Group. Just write the name and mute.

1. On the top right side, click on the down arrow.
2. Click on the option “News Feed Preferences“.
   If you don’t see the option then click on the *Switch to Classic Facebook*.
3. A popup will open > Click on the second option.
4. You can mute Friends, Page or Group.
5. Now Select the Friends > You will see Unfollowed > Done.

It is a great method if you don’t even want to see your friend post on your personal timeline.

How to Mute friends from Texting on Facebook Messenger

If you want to stop your friend from texting message, then use this method. You can set up the timer from 15 minutes, 1 hour and to maximum unlimited. Your friend will be able to text you, but it will not popup or give notification. So its best to ignore anyone.

1. Open your Facebook Profile on PC/Laptop.
2. Search the friend name > Open the chat.
3. Click on the Wheel and select the Mute Conversation.
4. A popup will appear showing the time, Select the time and click on the Mute.
5. You will see the cancelled bell icon in front of your friend’s name on the chat, and this confirms he is muted.

If you select any time like for 15 minutes or an hour, then they will be automatically unmuted after the given time has passed. So make sure to select the proper time. However, you can even go through the steps and again put the same time or increase the time at any moment.
