Let us read more about this news in details.Facebook building an Internet Satellite - Free Internet for Users

What is the use of Facebook Satellite

It is one of the main motives of Facebook to spread the internet globally. The Facebook satellite aims to provide free internet to the world. They are looking to launch a satellite for areas like Africa and Asia. There main aim to provide free internet to these areas. To provide internet to such a large area, Facebook needs to send several thousands of small satellite to the extent its free internet reach. It is still not confirmed that how users will get internet using these satellites. It is expected that lots of antennas will be used to get free internet access across the area.

Earlier Facebook has tried their best to provide free access to Facebook and other useful websites in India. But Indian authorities didn’t allow the free access of Facebook. Websites for Weather checking were allowed but Facebook was banned from this free system. But this project will give full authority to Facebook and users can access free internet using the Facebook Satellite.

This is not the first time Facebook tried for the free Internet through Satellite. Earlier in the year, 2016 Facebook expected to launch an internet-beaming satellite for Africa. But it was stopped due to SpaceX rocket exploded. They also tried with solar powered Aquila drone. Its main objective was to provide free internet. It was also stopped in the year 2018.

Hope this time Facebook get successful in sending a satellite and provide the free internet to the world. It will increase the number of internet users around the world and make the world more connected.
